Majid's research focuses on developing robotic muscles with enhanced functionalities, aiming to create the next generation of monolithic soft robots for health applications. His approach involves advancing the materials, structures, and functionalities of soft actuators, incorporating features such as temporal and spatial stiffness changes, self-sensing, self-powering, adaptability, and shape-shifting, to establish novel core technologies for future wearable, implantable, and surgical robotics.
