This grant employs Dr Richard Windslow as a PDRA to make extensive use of QMUL resources and expertise in elastomers. He is applying the knowledge gained during his PhD program focused on Dynamic Seals and now working on advancing the development of RCD Sealing Elements. It will extend the modelling capabilities at Schlumberger and address challenges encountered to date for Sealing Element modelling. The project will establish an elastomer characterisation and modelling framework for a streamlined evaluation of new RCD Sealing Element designs.
