A dynamic mud motor with a metal rotor and an HNBR statorDynamic seals such as those used in O&G drilling applications feature high strains, high strain rates, wide temperature ranges, contact with water and organic solvent mixes at large pressures. This project was to build a model to understand the behaviour of the elastomer materials found in mud motor stators.
