Brief Biography
Dr Dawood is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Centre for Advanced Robotics (ARQ) at Queen Mary University of London, where he contributes to the UKRI and EU-funded project PALPABLE. His research focuses on the development of soft robotic systems, tactile sensor skins, and soft sensors with applications in minimally invasive surgery.
He earned his PhD in Mechanical Engineering (Robotics) from Queen Mary University of London in 2023, with a dissertation on capacitive and optical tomography-based sensor skins. His earlier academic journey includes an MS in Design and Manufacturing Engineering and a BE in Mechatronics Engineering from the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Pakistan.
