Location: SEMS School Office, Engineering, Mile End
Expertise: Vusa provides professional support for all taught students in the School of Engineering and Materials Science as well as administrative support for the implementation of the School's student engagement, retention and success strategies. He is involved in developing and implementing student retention policies and monitoring their effectiveness. Vusa is the SEMS student - staff liaison and engages with student course, subject society and PASS representatives. He also provides high quality advice and guidance on student support issues, using skill and judgment with reference to QMUL policies.

Brief Biography

Previously worked at the University of East London (UEL) as a Learning and Achievement Advisor, a role entailing being a student-staff liaison and delivering academic support initiatives. Also focussed on developing and implementing meaningful and effective progression, retention and attainment strategies for UEL. Vusa has also worked as a Youth Participation and Mentoring Programme Officer, coaching and mentoring young people on study skills, mental health awareness, employability, career and professional development. He also has extensive experience in developing and implementing youth engagement, community development, coaching and mentoring strategies gained through working with UNICEF.
