Electron Microscopy Technician

Expertise:

In my role, I provide electron microscopy (SEM, S/TEM, FIB) knowledge and expertise in support of the research and teaching activities, and professional service to all users of facilities. I am responsible for the day-to-day running of the lab by providing training to new and existing users in routine specimen preparation and analysis, aiding and advising with regard to applications and experimental design, carrying out routine maintenance and liaising with engineers, managing the booking systems and usage records, and maintaining a safe working environment by ensuring safety procedures are implemented.
