Interests

Sathiskumar's current research envisions developing advanced predictive computational tools, with appropriate augmentation using machine learning, to enable next-gen material and structural systems for aerospace and energy applications. Specifically, his research integrates materials engineering, computational mechanics, and data-driven methods to develop multifunctional composites and AI-driven computational frameworks for novel materials/structures design. 

His team develops physics-informed, AI-augmented modelling and simulation tools addressing key aerospace and mechanical engineering challenges, including damage and failure prediction, structural health monitoring, structural control, and data-driven materials design.
