Research Overview

Polymer composites, Nanocomposites, Nanoparticles, Energy, Thermoelectrics, Sensors, Sustainable, High performance fibres

My research aims to understand the Processing-Structure-Property relationship in polymeric materials. I have gained extensive experience in processing and characterisation of polymer nanocomposites and smart polymers. More recently, my research has been focused on flexible self-regulating heating devices (pyro-resistive materials) and polymers for energy storage (polymer film capacitors) and harvesting (organic thermoelectrics). My work has been carried out in collaboration with industrial and academic partners through various EU and UK collaborative projects. I am author/co-author of over 100 peer-reviewed papers (h-index of 36), 5 book chapters and 5 patents
