Expertise: My research aims to understand the Processing-Structure-Property relationship in polymeric materials. I have gained extensive experience in processing and characterisation of polymer nanocomposites and smart polymers. More recently, my research has been focused on flexible self-regulating heating devices (pyro-resistive materials) and polymers for energy storage (polymer film capacitors) and harvesting (organic thermoelectrics).

Brief Biography

Emiliano Bilotti graduated cum laude in Materials Engineering from "Federico II", University of Naples. In 2004 EB joined QMUL for his PhD study on polymer/clay nanocomposites and new environment friendly flame retardant materials, within the frame of the European STRP project Nanofire. In 2010 EB moved to Nanoforce - a QMUL spin out company - as Research & Technology Manager before starting his academic career in SEMS at QMUL. EB currently holds a Reader position in SEMS.
