Dr Emiliano Bilotti
Reader in Polymer Science and Technology
E403, Engineering, Mile End
Expertise: | My research aims to understand the Processing-Structure-Property relationship in polymeric materials. I have gained extensive experience in processing and characterisation of polymer nanocomposites and smart polymers. More recently, my research has been focused on flexible self-regulating heating devices (pyro-resistive materials) and polymers for energy storage (polymer film capacitors) and harvesting (organic thermoelectrics). |

Brief Biography
Emiliano Bilotti graduated cum laude in Materials Engineering from "Federico II", University of Naples. In 2004 EB joined QMUL for his PhD study on polymer/clay nanocomposites and new environment friendly flame retardant materials, within the frame of the European STRP project Nanofire. In 2010 EB moved to Nanoforce - a QMUL spin out company - as Research & Technology Manager before starting his academic career in SEMS at QMUL. EB currently holds a Reader position in SEMS.
