What we do
We support students and staff in the use of the aeronautical area and its equipment, including set up of experimental apparatus and measuring equipment. We are also happy to provide support and advice in the design of experimental models to be used in the wind tunnels.
When a student or staff member has an idea for something they would like manufactured, they are first required to supply us with a rough sketch (or CAD model if they are able to do so). With this information they can then come and speak to one of the aeronautical technicians where we can make, if needed, suggestions or improvements to aid manufacture. The next step is to provide us with a 'Work Request' to keep a record of the progress of your project from start to finish.
