Career Path as a Data Research Scientist in Amazon Alexa - Human Language Technologies
George Leung is a Machine Learning Research / Data Scientist from a computational biophysics background. He received his Ph.D. in Physics from Emory University, USA. He then spent 6 years in the tech industry working on researching, developing, and maintaining Machine Learning algorithms, with a research focus in Natural Language Processing. His most recent role is Research Scientist at Amazon Alexa. He will share his reflections on the journey from academia to industry, especially on Data Science / Machine Learning roles.
