Last chance to register for the 16th International Workshop on the Engineering of Functional Interfaces (EnFI 2025) is on 19 June 2025.

The meeting takes place in the People's Palace at Queen Mary University of London on 7th and 8th July 2025. EnFI is a dynamic, multidisciplinary international workshop. It covers all aspects of functional interfaces from materials science, physics and chemistry to biomedical engineering.

Why Attend EnFI 2025?

We have a number of exciting tutorial lectures lined up:

  • Petra Szilagyi (University of Oslo), "MOF-guest interfaces and their relevance in catalytic reactions"
  • Julien Gautrot (QMUL), "Engineering mechanically strong liquid-liquid interfaces with protein nanosheets for stem cell technologies"
  • Tom McDonald (University of Manchester), "In situ forming implants based on nanogels for long-acting drug delivery"
  • Pedro Estrela (University of Bath), "Electrochemical Biosensors and Biodevices for Medical Diagnosis and Water Monitoring"

Flash talks and poster presentations by PhD students and postdocs cover a wide range of areas such as electrochemical sensors, MIP based biosensors, biological interfaces and advanced materials and characterization methods.

Don’t miss your chance to be part of this exciting event!
