Congratulations to PhD student Max Court, who won the IMSE Prize for Best Interdisciplinary Poster at the recent Solar Chemicals Network Symposium. Max's poster was titled 'Exploring deposition methods for novel ferroelectric-coupled water oxidation photoanodes'.

Max is a PhD student in Prof Joe Briscoe's research group. In his PhD he is studying the interactions of nanostructured ferroelectric materials with photocatalysts towards solar-driven hydrogen production and conversion of carbon dioxide into useful fuels. Max is co-supervised by Prof James Durrant of Imperial College, where he is undertaking time-resolved spectroscopy studies of the materials that he is producing.
