Levelling Up Maths Showcase Event 'Making Diversity Count'

You are invited to the Levelling Up Maths showcase at Queen Mary University of London. This event is open to students who have been participating in the following Levelling Up Maths strands delivered by Queen Mary University of London.
Levelling Up: Maths (School of Mathematical Sciences)
Levelling Up: Maths for Engineering (School of Engineering and Materials Science)
Levelling Up: Maths for Computer Science (School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science)
This is your opportunity to meet your fellow students and the tutors who deliver the mentoring sessions, and the university staff and academic team.
The 3-hour long afternoon event will be scheduled as follows:
2:30pm: Welcome from Dr Tony Hill, Levelling Up Maths programme founder
2:45-3:15pm: Talk by Speaker 1: Dr David Mguni
Dr David Mguni, Lecturer in Computer Science, Queen Mary University of London (of Black heritage and involved in teaching mathematics both at university level)
3:15-3:45pm: Talk by Speaker 2: Dr Juliet Ojiako
Dr Juliet Ojiako, University Teacher in Mathematics Education, Loughborough University (female and of Black heritage with extensive STEM engagement and outreach experience)
3:45-4:15pm: Coffee break (to facilitate networking between students, speakers, staff, etc.)
4:15-4:45pm: Reflections from Levelling Up school students and undergraduate tutors
4:45-5:30pm: Interactive mathematics activity (to promote active engagement and participation from school students)
5:30pm: Conclusion, followed by a tea and cakes reception (to provide opportunities for mingling between participants)
