A community of researchers in STEMM

The QMUL Intercalated Symposium is an exciting peer-reviewed scientific forum demonstrating multi-disciplinary and collaborative research in healthcare. By working with clinicians, scientists and engineers, medical students undertake research in inter-disciplinary themes across the university and at Barts Health NHS Trust.

Medical students who intercalate on the BSc or MSc programmes will give flash presentations of their exciting research. Topics include cancer, cardiovascular disease, emergency medicine, orthopaedics, sports medicine, gastroenterology, neuroscience, psychology, machine learning, AI, digital and women's health.

Join us for an exciting session and a chance to celebrate and be inspired by our 2025 Intercalated Graduates on 3 June 2025.
