EduMark AI, led by Dr Deepshikha, has been selected for the ICURe Discover Technology Missions Fund (TMF) Programme, a nationally recognised initiative funded by Innovate UK and UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) that supports the translation of research into real-world impact.

Selection to the programme reflects the strength of the innovation and its potential to create impact beyond academia. Over the coming months, the EduMark AI project will focus on engaging with potential users and stakeholders, testing assumptions, refining the value proposition, and exploring viable pathways for adoption and scale.

EduMark AI builds on Dr Deepshikha's work in AI-driven assessment and feedback in higher education and aligns closely with the strategic priorities of SEMS and Queen Mary University of London in digital innovation, educational excellence, and research impact.

Dr Deepshikha commented:
“Selection to the ICURe Discover programme is an exciting opportunity to rigorously explore how EduMark AI can deliver meaningful impact beyond the university setting. The programme provides a strong framework for testing ideas and building solid foundations for the next stage of development.”

The project is supported through Innovate UK ICURe and Queen Mary University of London, reflecting QMUL’s continued commitment to enabling research-led innovation with societal and commercial relevance.
