Dr Jae Hwan Park chaired and facilitated a high-level bilateral meeting on Cross-Border Data Transactions between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Korea, held at the United Nations ESCAP Headquarters in Bangkok on Thursday 6th November.

The session brought together senior representatives from Kazakhstan’s National Information Technology Center (NITEC), Korea’s National Information Society Agency (NIA), and UNESCAP, to coordinate pilot collaboration on tourism and legal data exchange.

Discussions focused on establishing trust-based data cooperation models, strengthening legal and technical frameworks, and advancing pilot projects to enable secure and sustainable cross-border data transactions between the two countries.
