Dr Deepshikha awarded ALDinHE Research Funding for 2025–26

We are delighted to share that Dr Deepshikha has been awarded research funding from the Association for Learning Development in Higher Education (ALDinHE) for her 2025–26 project, “Digital Learning Development: Evaluating AI-Enhanced Feedback for Assessment Literacy and Student Progression.”
Building on the success of her EduMark AI initiative, the project investigates how continuous, AI-integrated feedback supports students’ assessment literacy and self-regulated learning skills. The award recognises the project’s potential to advance inclusive, evidence-based learning practices that enhance assessment literacy, student engagement, and improve progression outcomes.
Dr Deepshikha’s proposal was highly rated and accepted without conditions, reflecting its clear alignment with ALDinHE’s goals of fostering collaboration, ethical practice, and scholarship in higher education.
This award continues Queen Mary’s strong track record in educational innovation, AI-enhanced learning, and assessment research, reflecting the university’s commitment to improving student experience and supporting scholarly practice in teaching and learning.
Dr Deepshikha said: “This project is an exciting opportunity to bridge digital innovation with Learning Development practice. By combining AI-driven feedback with human insight, we aim to create evidence-based frameworks that improve assessment literacy and empower students to take ownership of their learning.”
