We are delighted to congratulate Dr Shahed Ekbatani on successfully passing their PhD viva with minor correction. His thesis, 'Nano-engineered Natural Fibre Composites', makes an important contribution to advancing research in sustainable and multifunctional polymer composites.

During his PhD, Shahed demonstrated exceptional dedication and hard work, publishing two journal papers in leading journals and presenting at both ICCM and ECCM conferences, while also contributing greatly to the wider research group.

We would also like to express our sincere thanks to the examiners, Dr Iman Mohagheghian (University of Surrey), and Dr Zhe Li (Queen Mary University of London School of Engineering and Materials Science), for their time, expertise, and thoughtful evaluation.

We are excited to see what Dr Shahed will accomplish next, and proud to have been part of his journey.
