Research into collaboration between educators and students presented at conference

Dr Adijat Omowumi Inyang (Wumi), Lecturer in Materials Science and Engineering Education recently presented a work titled ‘Co-creating Global Competence Frameworks in Transnational Education through Collaborative Learning’ at the AdvanceHE Teaching and Learning Conference 2025 at the university of sheffield
The project is a collaborative effort with Dr Kehinde Omotoso from Teesside University International Business School, Dr Taiwo Gbadegesin from Queen Margaret Universityin Scotland, and Dr Irene Pinzuti from Queen Mary University of London's Nanchang Joint Programme.
The group explored how collaborative approaches between educators and students can be used to design effective frameworks for developing global competence, an increasingly vital skill in international higher education.
Wumi commented “this work reflects the School of Engineering and Materials Science’s ongoing commitment to innovative, globally minded pedagogy and leadership in transnational education practice."
