Airbus Defence and Space Programme expert delivers session with MSc students

Students from the Engineering Management MSc continued their industry-focused learning with a guest session from Davide Dennis Buck of Airbus Defence and Space Programme. This exclusive opportunity, organised by Dr Jae-Hwan Park, enabled students to explore high-level strategic decision-making in the aerospace and defence industry.
Davide shared expert insights on:
- Airbus’s role in satellite technology and global aerospace operations – how satellite innovation drives commercial and defence capabilities.
- The impact of innovation on defence and space programmes – exploring cutting-edge technologies shaping the industry.
- Sustainability challenges and regulatory compliance in aerospace – navigating global regulations while advancing sustainable solutions.
The session provided students with a strategic perspective on managing large-scale, high-tech engineering projects and how Airbus operates in complex international markets. Jae-Hwan continues to bring world-class industry professionals into the classroom, ensuring that students gain real-world insights to complement their academic learning.
