In a demonstration of Queen Mary University of London's (QMUL) commitment to its 2030 strategy, a dedicated team from the university recently concluded a highly successful visit to Saudi Arabia. The trip, spearheaded by Miss Charlotte Murphy, The University's Regional Manager, Middle East, alongside Dr Mouna Chetehouna, SEMS Gulf Regional Lead for Global Engagement, and Dr Aisha Abuelmaatti, EECS Programme Director for Computer Science with Management, took place in January and spanned four key Saudi cities: Riyadh, Jeddah, Madinah, and Dammam.

This ambitious initiative showcases QMUL's dedication to fostering inclusion and diversity, while strengthening international relations through expanded scientific collaboration. Aligning with Saudi's 2030 Vision, which aims to diversify the Kingdom's economy and invest in its people, the QMUL team engaged with educational leaders, students, and parents across the country.

The team's itinerary included visits to numerous schools, where they connected with administrators, educators, and students, showcasing the exceptional undergraduate and postgraduate opportunities available at QMUL. These interactions served to raise the university's profile and introduce prospective students to the vibrant academic community at Queen Mary.

Furthermore, the team participated in several education fairs, engaging with prospective students and their families. They highlighted the breadth of courses and opportunities available to Saudi students at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, emphasising QMUL's cutting-edge advancements, particularly within the Faculty of Science and Engineering. The team effectively demonstrated how these programs align with the ambitious goals of Saudi's 2030 vision, contributing to the Kingdom's advancement in key scientific and technological fields.

This landmark trip has significantly elevated QMUL's profile in Saudi Arabia, highlighting its world-class research, diverse academic offerings, and commitment to global engagement. The visit reinforces Queen Mary's overarching vision of becoming the most inclusive university in London, actively attracting the best and brightest minds from all backgrounds to join the QMUL family.
