In a new mini-interview series considering the question 'How can we save planet Earth?', Queen Mary experts sit down with Prof Tim Bale to discuss how their work with communities around the world can address the climate crisis.

In the first video of the series, SEMS' Dr Paul Balcombe talks about his research in chemical engineering and renewable energy, with a focus on methane.

In order to continue to be a leader at COP28, Dr Balcombe wants to see the government "push boundaries and lead by example".
