Excellent cilia science at the annual UK Cilia Network meeting in Edinburgh.

Beth from the Knight group gave a great presentation on her PhD project developing an organ-chip to study the impact of cilia modifications on mechanosignalling in the kidney and implications for development of new therapies for polycystic kidney disease.

We also had a poster presentation on the lovely work that Stefaan Verbruggen has done unpicking the role of primary cilia in regulating cross talk between osteocytes and cancer cells in breast cancer metastasis.

And finally, I got a terrific, but very wet, walk in the Pentland Hills, and a trip up Arthur's Seat in the mist!
