The Knight group was well represented at the 2022 eCM20: Cartilage and Disc Repair and Regeneration
Conference in Switzerland. Two of our PhD students, Huan and Dariel, gave excellent oral presentations at the meeting prompting lots of questions and discussion.

Huan presented his work demonstrting the anti-inflammatory effects of YAP activation in cartilage and the involvement of primary cilia. Dariel presented his work showing how synoviocytes stimulate the pro-inflammatory response in chondrocytes and the development of a synovium-cartilage organ-on-a-chip. This presentation linked to a poster presentation showcasing Clare Thompson and Tim Hopkin's work developing a vascularised human synovium organ-on-a-chip model.

The meeting was help in Davos, Switzerland which allowed for some fantastic high level mountain walking in amoungst amazing alpine flowers and wildlife.
