Daniel Mills wins the Royal Charter Prize of the IOM3
17 November 2021
Daniel Mills - a 2021 MEng Materials graduate - has been awarded the Royal Charter Prize of the Institute of Materials, Minerals & Mining (IOM3).
This award is given to the best Materials Science graduate on any accredited materials degree course, regardless of discipline. This is a competitive prize where the top Queen Mary University of London graduate is entered into an international competition. After an interview of the leading candidates, Daniel came out on top and has been awarded the £400 prize.
James Busfield comments that, "This is only the second time in my time at Queen Mary that one of our graduates has won this award and so we are particularly proud of Daniel's achievment. Together with Dr Wei Tan we supervised his MEng project last year and his group's work has already been published in a journal paper in Frontiers in Materials" [ https://lnkd.in/dr8Zjwbw ]
Daniel started out at Queen Mary on the foundation programme more than 5 years ago and now works at BAE Systems.
