Eduardo Yanes Nunez won the IRCO Prize for the best student poster presentation at the annual International Rubber Conference 2019 hosted this year in London for his paper on "Friction Characterisation of Elastomers." Eduardo's supervisor, Prof James Busfield commented that Eduardo's work is concerned with the very practical problem of measuring the frictional contact behaviour of elastomer seals under extreme conditions of high temperatures and huge pressures that are encountered in oil and gas sealing applications for use in advanced modelling. #IRC2019 @jamesbusfield
