Rick Ubic is awarded the Robert L Coble Award
Rick Ubic has been selected by 'The American Ceramic Society' (ACerS) Honours and Awards to receive the Robert L Coble Award for Young Scholars which will be presented at the 107th Annual Meeting Awards Banquet in Baltimore, Maryland in April 2005.

Rick is a lecturer of materials science at Queen Mary, University of London, where he also co-manages the department’s electron microscopy suite and is director of undergraduate admissions.
A graduate of Case Western Reserve University (USA), he earned a BS and MS in Materials Science & Engineering in 1993 and 1994, respectively. He obtained his PhD in dielectric ceramics in 1998 from the University of Sheffield, (UK). His research interests include processing, structural characterisation, and electron microscopy of electroceramics.
Rick has authored over 30 scientific papers, and an article of his won the ACerS Edward C. Henry best paper award for 2002. He is affiliated with the Electronics division and has given numerous invited presentations at ACerS conferences.
