Paul Hogg presented an invited Plenary lecture on toughening of composite materials at the "Recent Advances in Composite Materials", (ICRACM) meeting in Varanasi, India held 17-19th December 2004. The meeting was sponsored by AOARD and numerous local materials businesses and attracted about 200 delegates, mainly from India. The local media took a healthy interest in the event which had a strong aerospace focus.
