Prof Magda Titirici was awarded the Rosenhain Medal at a gala dinner in London on the 8th November 2016. The prestigious medal and prize is awarded by the IOM3 to the most distinguished materials scientist under the age of 40 in the UK. Magda being the first QMUL employee to receive this prestigious prize. The citation for the award celebrated Magda's development of a new route to produce carbon materials using low cost biomass precursors under mild hydrothermal conditions.
