Congratulations to Kartpan Sakulkaew who successfully defended his PhD thesis “Tearing of Rubber”. Kartpan was supervised by James Busfield and helped by Alan Thomas and Yoshi Fukahori. Kartpan will return back to Thailand to work for the Department of Science Service to run the National Thai Rubber Research Laboratory, managing a group of 6 in this new role. James says "Kartpan was undoubtedly the hardest working PhD Student I have ever supervised, he fully deserves his award of a PhD".
