The Centre for Clean Energy and Department of Materials provide active technical support to local SMEs on process and product innovation, design and development, with the aim to increase the “POE” ratio (product Performance to Overall Energy consumption). A recent project on a “Waste Reducing Saw for Hot Aluminium” was successfully completed with RNS Industrial Design Ltd, with the support of the LDA and ANGLE Plc.. The project is featured as a case study in their recent video on the “SME Innovation Support Programme”, supported by the LDA and managed by ANGLE Plc.
