The panel of 10 judges have convened, votes cast and we are now pleased to announce that the winner of the 2006 Department of Materials 2006 Photo / Graphic Competition is Natalie Stingelin-Stutzmann with her picture entitled "Rubrene Butterflies".

Overall the competition attracted nearly 100 entries all of a very high standard. To ensure fairness the judging panel did not know who had submitted each image.

The prize will be presented at the annual prize day, 21st November 2006.
