The Queen Mary Centre for Undergraduate Research (QMCUR) is currently preparing two major upcoming events that will bring undergraduate researchers together to share their work, exchange ideas, and build connections across disciplines.
1. Undergraduate Research Forum: Engineers Meet Gene Editors (3rd Edition)
- Dates: 17–19 November 2026
- Details: Building on the success of the previous two editions, this immersive three-day forum will bring together students from QMCUR and the Gene Editors group at the University of Westminster, alongside other invited student speakers. The forum aims to foster collaboration between the engineering and gene-editing research communities. Participants will present and discuss undergraduate research projects, explore different research methodologies, and engage in multidisciplinary scientific exchange. A detailed program will be announced at a later date.
2. British Conference of Undergraduate Research (BCUR) 2027
- Dates: 22–23 April 2027
- Details: QMCUR is organizing and hosting BCUR 2027, a major national multidisciplinary conference. The event will welcome undergraduate researchers from universities across the UK and abroad to present and showcase their work. Participants can strengthen their communication, presentation, and professional skills while networking with peers, academics, and the wider research community.
