This year February, the industrial visit has been very enjoyable for both staff and students. 1st Year students have been to short day trips to either EADS Astrium, Coca-Cola or Tilbury Power Station. They also visited the Science Museum and Natural History Museum. All these trips have been led by a member of staff (Rick Ubic, Liz Tanner, Andy Bushby or Bill Godwin) and the Teaching Assistant team. In addition, the whole 2nd Year cohort have enjoyed a 4 day visit to the north west of UK, accompanied by Mike Reece, Ray Smith, Ton Peijs, Luca Achilli, Doris Wong and Caroline Jee. The companies they have visited included Smith and Nephew, Corus, TWI, Ford Motor Company, Carr Reinforcements and Rolls Royce.
