Join the Digital Twin introductory workshop, delivered in collaboration with Bentley Systems, on Thursday 15 October 2026, 11:00 - 14:00, in the Francis Bancroft Building, Queen Mary Mile End campus.

The workshop will provide participants with a structured overview of digital twin technology and its application in understanding real‑world environments, including buildings, infrastructure, and cities. The session will guide attendees through building a simple digital twin prototype using industry‑standard, browser‑based tools and real datasets.

Participants will gain an understanding of the principles underpinning digital twins, how they differ from conventional 3D models, and how data, geometry, and interaction support engineering analysis and decision‑making. The workshop is designed to be exploratory and accessible, requiring no prior coding experience, and will introduce attendees to Bentley’s education‑focused digital twin ecosystem.
