The Association for Black and Minority Ethnic Engineers (AFBE) chose Queen Mary's Octagon to host their first ever Graduate Roadshow on Friday 10th October.

Throughout the afternoon, students from across the UK attended to take part in CV clinics, mock interviews, and an interview skills workshop, and meet employed graduates on a panel discussion.

They were also able to meet employers at networking stands from fifteen corporate partners including Mercedes Formula One, Red Bull, Aston Martin, RS, Balfour Betty, BP, and more.

The AFBE is a non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting diversity and inclusion in engineering and technology. They support students and professionals from ethnic minority backgrounds to excel and thrive in Engineering careers where they are typically underrepresented. AFBE's co-founder, Dr Nike Folayan, has just started a position as Visiting Professor at the School of Engineering and Materials Science.
