Queen Mary Formula Student (QMFS) has won the IMechE Formula Student SIM Racing Series 2025, beating more than 70 student teams from around the world.

The championship brings together Formula Student teams, with races held through the season and a live final at the Williams F1 headquarters. The series is built around a structured set-up and data challenges: students work with telemetry and simulation tools to tune various car parameters exactly as race engineers do in Formula 1.

The Queen Mary team consistently placed in the top five across all race rounds, demonstrating both driving consistency and engineering precision. They scored top marks in multiple engineering challenges, particularly in vehicle set-up analysis and data interpretation.

This is the first time QMFS has ever won the FSUK Sim Racing Championship, a huge achievement for everyone involved.

The team is already looking forward to defending their title at next year’s event!
