Queen Mary Formula Student (QMFS) has won the IMechE Formula Student SIM Racing Series 2025, coming out on top against more than 70 teams from universities across the UK and around the world.

The championship brings together Formula Student teams in a virtual environment, with races held through the season and a live final at the Williams F1 headquarters. The series is built around a structured setup and data challenges: students work with telemetry and simulation tools to tune various car parameters exactly as race engineers do in Formula 1.

The team consistently placed in the top five across all race rounds, demonstrating both driving consistency and engineering precision. They scored top marks in multiple Engineering Challenges, particularly in vehicle setup analysis and data interpretation.

This is the first time in the team’s history that they’ve won the FSUK Sim Racing Championship, a huge achievement for everyone involved.

The team is already looking forward to defending their title in next year’s championship!
