We are proud to share that Dr Deepshikha, Principal Investigator of the EduMark AI project in SEMS, has been selected to feature in OpenAI Academy’s Professors Teaching with AI series.

This prestigious global initiative showcases educators who are leading innovation in teaching and learning through generative AI, such as ChatGPT. Dr Deepshikha’s work was chosen from a competitive international pool for its forward-thinking application of AI to enhance assessment and feedback.

Her project, EduMark AI, is an AI-powered feedback tool designed to provide students with instant, rubric-aligned, personalised feedback. The system supports reflective learning and improves feedback turnaround while preserving academic integrity and staff oversight. The project is funded by Queen Mary’s Drapers Fund for Innovation in Learning and Teaching and aligns closely with the university’s Strategy 2030 goals around digital transformation and assessment literacy.

Dr Deepshikha will present a short video for OpenAI, showcasing her educational approach, the development and impact of EduMark AI, and offering insights for educators seeking to integrate AI into assessment workflows.

This recognition highlights both Dr Deepshikha's educational leadership and SEMS’s commitment to innovative, student-focused teaching.

I’m honoured to share our work on such a global platform,” Dr Deepshikha said. “This recognition belongs to the entire EduMark AI team and to the supportive SEMS environment that encourages meaningful innovation.

We congratulate Dr Deepshikha on this achievement and look forward to seeing her work inspire AI-enhanced education across the sector.
