Prof Sergey Karabasov delivered an invited talk at the CECAM Workshop on Modeling & Simulation of Fluid-Structure Interactions Across Scales, held at the National Institute of Chemistry in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

His talk, titled 'Fluid Dynamics Modelling from Micro to Macro Scales, showcased recent advances from his research group in high-resolution flow dynamics and multiscale modelling. The presentation highlighted a range of applications — from bio-inspired surfaces in aeronautics for efficient noise reduction, to hydrodynamic interactions in high-speed atomic force microscopy, crucial for accurate characterization of novel materials.

The talk was well received by leading experts from institutions including the University of Stuttgart, SISSA, University of Barcelona, National Institute of Chemistry, Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia, Sorbonne University, Italian Institute of Technology, and Forschungszentrum Jülich.

More information about the talk can be found on the CECAM website.
