The department is pleased to announce that Dr Caroline Jee has been appointed to the post of Learning Coordinator and Danniella Samos as Finance Administrator.

Caroline has been in Materials in many guises starting as an undergraduate back in 1996. After obtaining her PhD in 2003, Caroline then went on to join Prof Guo as a Research Assistant and then later on as a full-time Teaching Assistant. In her new role, Caroline will be taking over management of the Undergraduate Teaching Assistant pool. This will allow the Department to benefit from Caroline's infectious enthusiasm and deep knowledge of our programmes.

Danniella joined the Department in January of this year on a temporary basis assisting with financial administration. With the merger of the IRC and Materials, the need arose to make this post permanent. Prior to joining Materials, Danni worked as an Accounts Assistant with an internet gaming consortium along with being a member of their Fraud Detection Team. Danni's commitment to perfection and enthusiasm for life will of no doubt be a great asset to the Department.

The department is delighted on this outcome and would like to congratulate them both on their appointments and look forward to working with them in the future.
