Graduation is always one of the most fun days in the academic year. The Winter SEMS graduation took place on the 18th December 2024 and it was a privilege and honour to welcome all of our SEMS graduates as they take the nerve jangling walk across the stage.

James Busfield was particularly thrilled to welcome back three of his MSc graduates. All three of whom had graduated with a distinction. The SMG MSc graduates this year included Samir Alam, Kody Abeysinghe and Charlotte Southam. Samir worked on a project examining the fracture of elastomers used for many different applications. Kody worked on examining the wear debris produced at the road / tyre interface. Charlotte worked on designing a new piezoresistive belt for motion tracking.

All three did extremely well and James wishes all three the very best for the future where they will no doubt become excellent ambassadors for QMUL and SMG.
