This week, we were pleased to welcome Dr Cohen from Airbus, who delivered a guest lecture to third-year aerospace students enrolled in the Aerospace Design module. Dr Cohen also met with two MEng groups working on innovative projects: one developing terrestrial small wind turbine systems as part of a British Council initiative, and the other designing extraterrestrial propulsion systems for drones operating in the atmospheres of Mars and Titan.

This visit follows an earlier one by Mr Fawkes from the Halldale Group, who spoke about simulations in aerospace and energy systems, as well as the process for CEng accreditation after graduation. Looking ahead, we are excited to host a third external lecturer, Prof Beggs, in early Semester B, who already visited us in September. He will discuss global energy demands as part of our commitment to providing high-quality learning experiences and integrating cutting-edge research into the education of our senior undergraduate students.
