After a hardworking 23/24 season, Queen Mary’s Formula Student society took their car - affectionately named Aisling - to Silverstone to compete at IMechE Formula Student’s annual competition.

This year was their 8th year competing and they came 31st out of 56 teams. On top of this, their IC Formula class car passed chassis scrutineering for the first time since the society was founded, and their IC (internal combustion engines) and EV (electrical vehicle) concept teams placed 6th and 8th, making Queen Mary the highest positioned of all London universities.

New Team Principal for 24/25, Anastacia Ogilvie, said “Silverstone this year with the Queen Mary Formula Student team has been an unforgettable experience where I had the privilege to not only lead the IC Concept team to a 6th place finish overall, but to also work alongside many dedicated members within the team.

It was such fun meeting the other teams and expanding my network with prospective companies.”
