At the European Society for Biomaterials Conference during 11-15 September 2005, Prof Joost de Bruijn stepped down from the council after 8 years. For the last four years he has been Secretary of the Society. However the job remains within the department as Prof. Liz Tanner has succeeded Joost as ESB secretary.
