Last week, during Skills and Employability week, third year Engineering students from UCL visited our High-Speed Wind Tunnels in the Whitehead Aeronautical Laboratory.

During their visit, they were able to use the Wind Tunnel facilities to complete two of their coursework elements, designed by Dr Fariborz Motallebi from QMUL SEMS. The two elements are:

1. Shock wave Induced Boundary Layer Separation
2. Supersonic Flow Over a Re-entry Wind Tunnel model.

In total, 20 groups of students - in four groups per day - attended the laboratory throughout the week of the 6th of November.

The feedback from the visiting students were very positive and encouraging. Fariborz would like to thank Songwei Liu for his administrative role and contribution.
