Prof. Asim Ray has been awarded two DTI grants (Technology Programme, Nov. 2004

1. Enhanced Sensitivity Integrated Photonic Sensors for Biodetection, worth £150K to QMUL, several supporting partners
2. Design and Development of New Generation Sub-miniature Fluorescence Lamps, worth £190K to QMUL, several supporting partners

a one-year visiting fellowship, worth US $ 45,000 from the European Office of Aerospace R & D
