Orest Mykhaskiv has successfully defended his PhD on gradient-based shape optimisation. His thesis significantly advanced the field by including the geometric CAD model description inside the design loop. This breakthrough allows to integrate effective gradient-based optimisation seamlessly into industrial design workflows.
