We are celebrating two SEMS students who have passed their PhD vivas in the last few weeks. Congratulations to Michal Lipka who successfully defended his thesis 'Design and fabrication of a novel device for 3D patterning of hydrogels'. Michal is part of The Mata group, his supervisor was Professor Alvaro Mata.

Enormous congratulations to Reshma Tilwani who passed her PhD viva last Monday. Her thesis examined the 'interplay of pro-inflammatory signalling with mechanical signals in chondrocytes' with Tina Chowdhury, Dan Bader and David Lee. Reshma is working as a Teaching Assistant at SEMS and is applying for PDRA posts.
